Traditional Steeped Turkish Tea
“While visiting my son recently for his birthday, I was inspired by a dinner we enjoyed at a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant near his home. The bright, vibrant coastal flavors stayed with me.
I spent the last couple of weeks working on a menu that explores these flavors through the locally sourced ingredients, style, and techniques you know me for. The result is a new four-course tasting menu that I am incredibly proud of. I am calling it Argenis, after my son, whose name has Mediterranean roots, just like the flavors on this menu.
With my son’s help, I designed a special beverage pairing: two specially crafted cocktails featuring spirits from the region to complement the first few courses and to close the evening, we chose something different: traditional steeped Turkish tea, meant to slow the pace.
It is like sitting around the table with family, which is how Estela and I hope you feel when dining with us. Come with someone you love.”
